After much anticipation, Google for Jobs officially launched in the US in June, offering recruiters in the US the opportunity to list vacancys on all types of jobs – from entry-level and service industry positions to high-end professional jobs. It will leverage Google technologies like machine learning and A.I. to better understand how jobs are classified and related, among other things.
“46% of U.S. employers say they face talent shortages and have issues filling open job positions…We want to better connect employers and job seekers through a new initiative, Google for Jobs.” explained Google CEO Sundar Pichai
Many people predict after its successful launch in the US, it will soon be cross the water and be available in th UK.
With that in mind, lots of UK employers and recruiters are eager to know what this will mean for the country’s recruitment marketplace, and what they can do to prepare.
