Introducing the Women in Tech Employer Awards

Womenintech.co.uk is excited to announce the launch of the Women in Tech Employer Awards 2018.

WomeninTech is a site dedicated to women already working in tech or those looking to start their career in the IT and tech sector. The site is rich with career advice, employer profiles, the latest tech events and a job search.

WomeninTech has witnessed the huge demand for females in the tech sector as just 17% of those working in technology in the UK are female.

The aim of the awards is to give well deserved recognition to those employers that are going above and beyond to help close the gender gap within the IT and Tech sector.

The nomination categories include Female Tech Employer of the Year, Female Graduate Employer of the Year, Women in Tech Network of the Year, Recruitment Campaign of the Year, Public Sector Female Tech Employer of the Year and Recruitment Agency of the Year.

Businesses wishing to nominate themselves will need to prove they are pushing the boundaries to close the gender gap in the UK’s IT and technology sector by recruiting more females and encouraging those who wouldn’t normally consider a career in STEM subjects to apply for roles.

Anyone can nominate- you can nominate the company you are working for or any other company you feel deserves recognition. Nominations will close on 30th April 2018.

The awards will be judged by Steph McGovern from BBC Breakfast, Debbie Forster CEO of Tech Talent Charter and Charlotte Attwood Head of Women in Tech.
